By now, you've probably purchased or subscribed to Editor Enhancer. Next, let's get it running on your website! This post will take you through the following steps:
- Log in and download the Editor Enhancer plugin files.
- Upload those files to your website.
- Enter and activate your license key.
- Set up your preferences.
Sign in to Your Account
First thing's first. If you're not already signed in, click "Customer Login" in the top right of this website. Otherwise, click "My Account." This will take you to your account dashboard.
Right away, you'll see a link to download Editor Enhancer and your license key. Click the link, highlight the license key, and copy it. We'll use it soon.
Note: The download version will probably be different from the one shown in the image below.
Upload the Plugin to Your Website
There are two ways to upload Editor Enhancer. The easiest method is to use the standard WordPress plugin uploader. From your website's WP Admin, go to Plugins > Add New and click "Upload Plugin." You can then find the plugin ZIP folder that you just downloaded, and click "Install Now." Then, find Editor Enhancer in your plugins list and Activate it.
Activate Your License Key
We're almost there! After activating Editor Enhancer, you'll see a new top-level admin menu item in your WP Admin. Find the "License" sub-page. Paste your license key and click "Activate License." It will look something like this after activation:
Setting Up Preferences
Now that your license has been activated, you will see a bunch of new sub-pages under the Editor Enhancer menu. You probably want to dive right into using Editor Enhancer. Which you totally can! Just make sure to come back and check out the general settings to customize your experience.
Take a minute to look through the preferences and extensions will give you a better sense of all the things you can do. And, knowing how everything works together will help you improve your workflow!
